I anxiously await summer all year round - I love the sunshine, hot weather, lazy pool days, drippy ice cream cones, homemade popsicles and fresh produce. We love to hit up the farmers market and see what fun treasures we can bring home. There is nothing better than in season, roasted or grilled veggies for dinner all summer long.

The Continued Ramblings of a Knitter
Remember awhile back when I told you how I wanted to try to knit more? I actually did get a few projects done and I think it made me a little cocky. Yeah, it's sad but true. I finished Beckett's sweater and Quinn's cute blanket and a couple hats (before she was born I might add) and suddenly thought I had all the time in the world. Delusional.
Strawberry Cream Cheese Frosting
Jamie & I schedule these blog posts to publish automatically, but I had to edit this post to say my thoughts and prayers are with the residents of Moore, OK. It seems like it's all too often lately that my television shows images of something horrific and tragic and it especially breaks my heart when children are affected. As a parent, I simply can't imagine anything worse than losing a child. Our deepest condolences go out to everyone affected by the tornado and I pray for comfort and healing to reach those who are hurting. And if you're looking for a way to help, one of the easiest ways is to simply text the word REDCROSS to the number 90999, and $10 will be donated to the agency via your monthly cell phone bill.

Only once in a lifetime does someone turn TWO. And my little man turned 2 this weekend. So I did what any good mother would do - I baked him cupcakes from scratch and decided on a delicious strawberry frosting complete with colored sprinkles.
Happy Monday!
So...
if my internet provider had a face, I'd punch it.
Due to major technical difficulties, we won't be able to post our regularly scheduled Hit or Miss post this morning!
Hopefully we are back to normal tomorrow...enjoy your Monday!

Strawberry Honey Jam Goodness
Strawberry season is here! Can I get a hip hip hooray?? I love strawberry season, it's really the only time of year that I like fresh strawberries. I could spend an entire post telling you about how strawberries from the store don't compare to strawberries from the field. I already told you all about the need for Strawberry Shortcake in this house since we had so many berries from the Strawberry Festival. Despite the cold, overcast weather - the festival and strawberries were SO good.

Sock Saver Tip
Sometimes a little Pinterest perusing brings a "duh" moment for me. Hopefully it does for you too, and if not - just go with it so I won't feel like a loser.
Transforming Some Nasty Hardware
For some reason about a week after Quinn was born I decided that it was the perfect time to tackle a dresser redo that I've been wanting to do for about a year. Why you ask? Because I am obviously crazy - haven't you picked up on that yet?? The dresser is completely solid wood and was old and dirty, really dirty. After wiping the entire dresser down so that we could deal with painting, it became SUPER clear that we needed to deal with the hardware.
