Green Tea + Mango Smoothie

It got pretty snowy in Charlotte this past weekend.  Usually the snow warnings never bring much snow, but this time we actually got some!  It was Beckett's first time in it, and he LOVED it.  Even though I grew up in Vermont, I can't stand the white stuff.  As soon as I could, I got out of there and headed South towards the sunshine.  But even I have to admit, it was beautiful to watch and sweet to see Beckett so excited about it.

(I took this picture on my iPhone, from inside in the living room looking out through the window.  That's as close as I like to get to the snow...)

(This was after we made him come inside.  We have no snow gear here because we see it so rarely and little dude was shaking & shivering in his little shoes)

Anyway - it's pretty chilly outside, so today I had the urge to make a refreshing smoothie.  Something that would remind me of summer.  I pinned this from WhoSay over the weekend and happened to have everything for it so I got to work!

You'll need:

- 1 green tea bag (I used Numi Green Rooibos)
- 4 oz boiling water
- 1 c. frozen mango chunks
- 1/2 c. greek yogurt
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 5-6 ice cubes
- honey to taste

Let your tea bag steep in 4 oz of boiling water for about 3-5 minutes.  Remove tea bag, and let cool.  Once the tea is cool, combine all the ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.  That's it!  Also, the original recipe called for nonfat vanilla yogurt but I a) don't believe in nonfat yogurt and b) didn't have vanilla so I used my Greek Gods full fat yogurt and added some vanilla extract and honey for sweetener.

This was delicious and refreshing, and had a nice subtle sweetness to it.  I think you should make it too!
