1. Tell us a little bit about yourself:
Wow, where to start, I was born in England and my family emigrated to America when I was young, which made me a little shy. I had a very talented Dad who was a great artist and always let me help with any project he was doing. Between him and my Grandma they told me I could do anything and they both inspired me. I now work full time as an office manager of a large company but all I want to do is refinish furniture and make and alter things for my etsy shop.
2. What made you decide to start your shop?
I have been talking about this for years but didn't have the confidence to jump in. I am not sure what made the difference but one day I just decided to not put it off any longer. I am so happy I did, it hasn't been open very long but I have had a great experience. The thing that is so nice about etsy is I have met people all over the world and have become really good friends with another shop owner who is wonderful to work with. My daughter helps with the photography and encourages me everyday.
3. What's the background behind the name?
My Grandma that I talked about was named Nelly Isabelle. It was the first thing that came to my mind when I wanted a shop. She was so loving and kind, just like my Dad.
4. What's one thing that you would love people to know about you?
I find great pleasure in doing things for people and treating people kind, I have had a few very stressfull things happen in my life like I am sure most people have. My Dad and Grandma passing away for starters and then my wonderful youngest son Dustin was killed in a car accident when he was 19. There's more but I don't think you want to hear everything. It made me angry and bitter at first but now I know how blessed I was to have the Dad and Grandma that I had and for the most fabulous 19 years with my son who was an inspiration to me because of his kindness and acceptance of everyone. When hard things happen we some how find the strength to keep going. I have 3 other children and 6 grandson's and they all are wonderful and lift me up daily to realize what a great family I have. The reason I have so many cherubs, wings & love the word believe is because of my son.
